Casa Bosque Verde offers a private shuttle service that can pick up and drop off from San José Airport to Casa Bosque Verde.  The price is $180 based on a six people group.  Transportation from any area of Costa Rica to Casa Bosque Verde and vice versa can also be arranged.

If you choose to fly to Quepos from another airport you can book your flight on Sansa Air or Nature Air.  The flights cost around $75 each way. This is the quickest way to get to Manuel Antonio in only 20 minutes from San José.  At the Quepos airport, ask for a taxi and tell the driver the **Direction of Casa Bosque Verde…

Other options include the local bus which drops off in the town of Quepos or Interbus (semi-private) which drops off at some of the bigger hotel chains (Hotel Gaia is the closest to us).  Either way, ask for a taxi and tell the driver the **Direction of Casa Bosque Verde…

If you choose to drive from San José International Airport it could take you approximately 2.5 – 3 hours…

Driving, Taking a Cab, or Bus to Our House

Casa Bosque Verde is a 15 minute drive from the Quepos Airport or a ten minute taxi ride from the center of Quepos.  Local buses run about every 20 minutes along the only road between Quepos and the National Park and bus stops, “paradas” are located all along the main road in Manuel Antonio.

Driving to Manuel Antonio from International Airports

Manuel Antonio is about a three hour drive via the toll highway from the Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in Alajuela near San José.  It is a four to five hour drive from the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport (LIB) in Liberia.

All major North American car rental agencies operate in Costa Rica, most of whom have an office in Quepos as well as at the international airports.  Car rental agencies generally charge a drop-off fee if dropping the car at a location other than where it was rented.

Flying into Quepos / Manuel Antonio

Two small Costa Rican Airlines serve the Quepos / Manuel Antonio airport. The flight is approximately 20 minutes.

Sansa Airlines flies in and out of the San José International Airport…

Nature Air flies in and out of the Pavas Airport, nearer to Downtown San Jose…

Taking the Bus to Quepos

There are buses that regularly go to and from San José and Manuel Antonio. The direct bus takes about three hours and leaves from the “Tracopa” bus station in downtown San José.  This is a trip recommended only for seasoned travellers in Costa Rica.  Returning to the airport from Quepos is much easier by bus.  Ask our concierge service for details.
